Sikit-Sikit Lama-Lama Jadi Bukit
The title of this post draws from the phrase, "By being bit by bit, it will turn into a hill." This idiom sorts to remind us that even the smallest actions, when consistent, add up to something greater over time.
Last Saturday, despite the rain, a few dedicated individuals joined a gathering organized by my Professional Network (Technology) team. Our purpose was straightforward: to share our plans for the future and, more importantly, to listen. We wanted to gather fresh perspectives on where we should focus our efforts to make a meaningful impact in our community.
The room was filled with a remarkable mix of talent—from tech professionals to venture capitalists, tech society representatives, nonprofit leaders, and folks working in government agencies. The discussions were sincere, direct, and thought-provoking. We didn’t just talk about what PN (Tech) could do; we explored what we shouldn’t do, identifying potential pitfalls to avoid.
What struck me most was the enthusiasm in the room. Many attendees expressed a willingness to support our initiatives in their own ways, and we’re eager to build on this momentum. Now, our task is to sift through these valuable ideas, develop those that need more thought, and quickly act on the “low-hanging fruits” that can create an immediate impact. I’m looking forward to seeing what our team comes back with in terms of actionable steps.
As we move forward, I am hopeful. With the energy and talent in our community, I believe we’re on the brink of exciting collaborations and meaningful work in the coming months. Together, let’s keep building, step by step, toward a brighter future.
